Managed Servers

Clarinet has had over ten years of experience in managing Unix systems for clients. We provide:

  • Routine system administration;
  • Monitoring; and,
  • Advanced system administration and/or operating system/application support
on either our or your hardware. As each service is unique in terms of its application requirements, the skills of the organisation commisioning the service and the level of support needed, Clarinet negotiates a suitable maintenance agreement with each client.

Routine Systems Administration

Clarinet supports regular backups on to tape or via the network. We can also under take the installation and configuration of software and the configuration of both "personal" and network firewalls.

Monitoring

Clarinet operates monitoring for its own servers and we can extend the coverage of our system to include our clients. Our monitoring system can monitor the operation of internet services and server resources. Notifications are sent by SMS and E-mail to allow corrective actions to be taken.

    Clarinet has developed redundant web server soultions for clients requiring high availability. We have developed systems that operate in a single data centre, between our data centres and between Australian and American data centres.
